In the organizer's words:
In order to expand St. Michael’s Church, the cemetery that had originally surrounded the church had to be relocated to a new site. For this reason, the municipality purchased a plot of land from a farmer in Langwied on the northern edge of Lochhausen’s town center, which was converted into the new cemetery and consecrated in 1927. In 1955, the cemetery was expanded to the east. During our guided tour, we will also visit the graves of several prominent figures.
