Funny Money

"Laughing with all my heart" was the headline for the premiere review in the Mannheimer Morgen following the Ladenburg premiere of "Funny Money", a delightful comedy penned by the famous English comedy writer Ray Cooney and set in the 1990s:
Henry Perkins, the play's protagonist, unexpectedly comes into possession of a handsome fortune due to a mix-up with his briefcase on the London Underground. His plans to immediately quit his unloved office job and emigrate with his wife Jean are initially thwarted by various people who turn up at his apartment. There are entanglements and excuses, and there is still a long way to go before the supposedly happy life...
