GCO#15 - Workshop Krump mit Boi Wave

In the organizer's words:

In the Krump workshop with Boi Wave, participants will gain an in-depth insight into the basics and foundations of K.R.U.M.P as well as session and battle behavior within the scene. In addition to the practical work, the cultural and historical context is also a focus. In an accompanying exchange, the definition of K.R.U.M.P and the history of this dance form will be discussed in order to convey a holistic understanding of expression, energy and mindset.

Boi Wave, born in Lagos (Nigeria) and living in Düsseldorf (NRW), is a stage dancer, choreographer, artist and active competitor. He has been dancing Krump for 16 years and has taken part in numerous dance battles at home and abroad, many of which he has won. He has been a permanent member of the Urban Arts Ensemble at Theater Oberhausen since the 2023/24 season and brings his extensive experience of battle culture and the stage context to this workshop.
