Geneviève Strosser: am Sommer erstickt

am Sommer erstickt spans an arc from the new composition by KP Werani for viola and voice to the new work by Georges Aperghis for narrator and music by Salvatore Sciarrino and Iannis Xenakis.
The French viola soloist Geneviève Strosser and the German composer KP Werani bring together their diverse experiences with the viola instrument, with vocal-performative aspects and with experimental theatrical projects in the instrumental solo performance am Sommer erstickt. The work with instrument, voice and poetry in this program arises from the common demand for conceptually coherent thinking.
The initial spark for the new compositions by KP Werani and Georges Aperghis is the reading of the contemporary poem by Nancy Hünger: Für einen schmerzlichen Takt ineinander.
