Genussreise Thailand – Advent Edition

In the organizer's words:

During the Advent season, Thai ASA e.V. invites you to a culinary workshop at the Museum Fünf Kontinente. Participants will learn about two traditional specialties of Thai cuisine and prepare them themselves:

  • Luk Chup - small figures made from mung bean paste, which originally served as a royal dessert. In the workshop, they are designed in Christmas motifs.
  • Nam Takrai - Bai Toey - Khing - a herbal drink made from lemongrass, pandan leaves and ginger, which is particularly popular in the cooler months of the year due to its soothing effect.

In addition to the practical preparation, participants will gain an insight into the history and cultural significance of these dishes. The workshop offers an opportunity to get to know Thai cooking traditions and to get into conversation with each other.

With the kind support of the Royal Thai Consulate General Munich.
