For more than five decades, over 8,000 live shows and more than 15 million albums sold, George Thorogood & The Destroyers have been "the quintessential American rock & roll party band" (Goldmine Magazine). In 2026, the continuation of "The Baddest Show On Earth Tour" will bring the blues-rock legend back to Germany. On June 23, George & The Destroyers will celebrate the healing power of rock & roll with an exclusive show at the Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin.

In 1976, George & The Destroyers debuted as one of the hottest indie bands of the decade. During the MTV era of the 80s and 90s, Thorogood was the epitome of the cool guitarist with a snakeskin jacket and sunglasses. With chart-topping hits like "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer", "Move It On Over", "Who Do You Love?", "I Drink Alone", "Get A Haircut" and the ultimate badass anthem "Bad To The Bone", George & The Destroyers became cornerstones of classic rock, while their albums continue to dominate streaming charts worldwide. Whether it's their breakthrough performances at Live Aid and Saturday Night Live or their recent successful tours with John Fogerty, ZZ Top and Sammy Hagar, they remain one of the most reliable and impressive live acts in the world. "Don't let anyone tell you that this gig won't blow you away," says Thorogood. "I challenge bands half our age to put on a show like ours night after night."

And in a career that has seen him recently receive honors like the Montreal International Jazz Festival's B.B. King Award, be named an honorary member of the Bo Diddley Centennial Committee and be invited to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, are there any milestones Thorogood could reach in the next 50 years? "It's crazy to think that we've spent the last half century playing music we love for an audience that loves our music," George says. "But when you have the best job in the world, you can never rest on your laurels. We work hard not only to do our best, but also to keep getting better. That's our only mission. That is rock & roll."
