Gespräch: Barbara Blaha, Funkenschwestern - Wie Feminismus alles besser macht

In her book *Funkenschwestern – How Feminism Makes Everything Better* (Molden Verlag, 2026), Barbara Blaha examines power dynamics ranging from childhood to politics, from work and money to relationships and violence in everyday life. Throughout, the author presents a consistently fact-based and economic argument, positioning feminism not as a lifestyle choice or a moral issue, but as a political necessity.

Barbara Blaha is Austria’s most prominent political influencer. She shapes the social debate on power and gender. In her new book, she demonstrates why inequality is not a matter of individual failure, but rather an economic and political systemic problem—and why feminism concerns us all.

The discussion will be moderated by Carolina Schwarz, head of the social affairs department at *taz* and author of the book *MeToo. 100 Pages: The First Overview of the International Debate*.
