Gesprächsstoff - Gesellschaftspolitischer Talk: Kultur stärken, aber wie?

In the organizer's words:

"We are living in difficult times and it is no longer enough to recite good poems by Kästner," said actor Walter Sittler in an interview with the Stuttgarter Zeitung on March 9, 2026. With his decades of experience, we invited him to discuss the topic of "Strengthening culture, but how?" with us. The socio-political talk on June 17 will also feature Marc Gegenfurtner, Head of the Cultural Office, who is intensively involved in the current debates on cuts and structures in Stuttgart's cultural landscape. Director Roland Mahr will discuss where we are currently heading and what can still give us courage and hope with these two guests and his discussion partner, philosopher Amrei Bahr.

The Renitenztheater's new "Gesprächsstoff" series is dedicated to topics of the present and the future. Artistic Director Roland Mahr discusses with philosopher Amrei Bahr, Junior Professor of Philosophy of Technology and Information at the University of Stuttgart. Other personalities are invited to each event and topic.
