Giorgi Gigashvili, born in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 2000, has already won several prizes at international competitions, most recently 1st prize at the "KlavierOlymp" in Bad Kissingen in 2021 and 2nd prize at the Arthur Rubinstein Competition in 2023. For his Musikfest debut, he has announced works that have it all: Brahms' three Intermezzi are miniature gems of disarmingly simple beauty and Prokofiev's so-called "War Sonatas" are emotionally stirring reflections of a brutal era.
