GØK2 & Kerker & Telephonist - 5th Friday

Where the wind whistles and existence seems wet and icy cold as a personal dungeon, there is Kerker. Since 2023, the non-binary artist has been moving in the border area between hyperpop, emo and rap in the German music landscape. With undisguised honesty, Kerker both shouts and whispers thoughts from involuntary isolation and the city behind it. Sometimes it's about dreamy longing, sometimes about raging heartache, but always about the inescapable feeling of surrender. Dark and morbid, but also tender and hopeful, Kerker devotes space to thoughts about fear, death and love. The songs break out of worn-out structures in their uninhibited individuality, creating a resonance chamber full of unfamiliar and yet familiar feelings for all those who have the courage to descend and discover comfort, security and beauty in spite of the darkness.

GØK2 is an immigrant singer/songwriter and producer from Istanbul, based in Tallinn, Estonia. Blending electro-punk, break-core, big beat, nu metal and raw intensity, GØK2 delivers explosive live shows fuelled by a fierce DIY spirit.

Telephonist is a shoegaze duo from Dortmund, formed in 2023 by producers and multi-instrumentalists Dennis Mielke and Oskar Middelhauve. With their debut EP "Gegen die Wand", which was released on December 5 on the independent label Porcupine Records, they combine a melancholy, dark shoegaze sound - inspired by bands such as DIIV, Duster, Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive - with German lyrics. They want to break new ground and close a gap in the German music scene. The five songs on the EP deal with frustration towards people, social structures and life in the city.
