Global Summer - Anna Katarina (Canada) live @ Pure Note

After our French spring, Rumba Gitana will kick off the global summer next Saturday.

It continues with a visit from Canada. On Friday, May 03, 2024 we welcome Anna Katarina.

As always, it starts at 19:30 and if you want to eat at the concert, you can of course reserve a table.

Anna Katarina, named one of Canada's 8 hottest emerging artists by Exclaim! magazine, is a singer-songwriter known for her authentic voice, dynamic live performance, and genre-blending compositions, raised in the beautiful mountains of British Columbia and Appalachian North Carolina. Her music draws inspiration from artists like Joni Mitchell, Maggie Rogers, and Sheryl Crow, yet she crafts a unique path within Indie-Pop, Americana, soul and 70s rock - always driven by the emotions behind her songs.

In early 2024, Anna was an Official Showcase Artist at Ireland's "Your Roots Are Showing" Folk Conference, performed at Mexico's Sand & Strings Festival, and is embarking on a 3-week tour through Germany, Belgium, and Denmark. Her sophomore record, While I Was Dreaming, will release mid-year.

In 2023 she showcased at Toronto's NXNE Festival and Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta's Official Conference, and performed alongside well-known Canadian artists Shawn Hook and Said The Whale.

Free admission, but an appropriate hat donation for the international artist is requested. It is possible to dine during the concert, but table reservations are recommended.
