Godwin's connection to art is unique. For the 25-year-old musician and filmmaker, his art is a powerful inner force and a way to give himself meaning and connect with his friends and family. Since releasing his debut EP "Road to Nirvana" in 2024, he has been shaking up the Nigerian music scene with his emotional music. To date, he has amassed over 600k TikTok followers and landed his first major successes with his singles "Home", "Abeke" and "Broken". In October 2025, he released his debut album "Atonement", which was produced by the German producer team KITSCHKRIEG and impresses with its versatile pop sound. The ATONEMENT TOUR 2026 will take Godwin to Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt and Heidelberg in February 2026.

Godwin Josiah is a multi-faceted artist. The artist from the Nigerian city of Kaduna is successful both in the film industry, where he is part of the collective The Critics Company, and in music. On a musical level, contrary to what one might expect, he did not initially devote himself to the Afrobeats trend, but to a dynamic pop sound far removed from the norm. With "Road to Nirvana", Godwin set an exclamation mark in the constantly developing Nigerian music scene in 2024. The final form of the work is more than just an EP for the musician. It is an intimate exploration of life's many emotions, an anthology of shared experiences and a reflection on the resilience of the human spirit. It is about self-exploration, artistic development and coming to terms with loss. In doing so, Godwin takes his listeners on a journey and calls them to embrace it with an open heart and ears. Godwin's debut album "Atonement" continues this journey with emotional ballads such as "Home" and "Free Fall" and, according to Godwin, was once again written like a movie. "I'm always trying to express something. The work was written as a story - constructed with two characters: myself and a fictional girl I call Abeke." Abeke thus acts as the muse, mirror and antagonist of the story, which Godwin's music on the eponymous track "Abeke" and on "Call Me" also presents with subtle Afrobeats influences and a flawless and modern production by KITSCHKRIEG in the usual versatile and dynamic way.
