The Godzilla Story is told by a punk band as table-top object theater.
Godzilla is not only the queen of monsters, but also one of the greatest icons of pop culture. He first appeared in a Japanese film directed by Ishiro Honda in 1954 and has been the subject of thirty-six films, numerous video games, comics, novels and television series. The colective GTB has read Godzilla as poetry. The story serves as a reference point for all fears, destruction and impending endings.
Godzilla Tribute Band is a collective work. It is a performance that wants to be a concert. It is a theater made of objects, cardboard boxes, cornflakes and, above all, people. It seeks its inspiration in punk, old movies and exaggerated pathos. The Godzilla Tribute Band is a collective that has come together to save the world.
