It all begins in the Führerbunker. The war unleashed by Germany is lost, the string-pullers cling to the last shred of hope. Also present: Werner Naumann, former State Secretary in the Ministry of Propaganda, to whom Hitler bids farewell just before his suicide with the words: "Naumann, you know how much I appreciate you. I am counting on you to leave this bunker. You must reunite the people who have remained loyal to us and do everything you can to carry our ideas and our views into the future!"

Naumann is one of the few who manages to escape. He went into hiding and lived illegally, protected by old comrades. He soon begins to put out feelers and look for allies. He plans to re-enter politics. Hans-Peter de Lorent's factual novel sheds light on developments after the end of the war, focusing on Naumann's hiding and his new political aspirations.

Dr. Hans-Peter de Lorent, Hamburg, has been publishing groundbreaking research on perpetrators and participants in National Socialism for many years. He is the author of the three-volume publication "Täterprofile. Die Verantwortlichen im Hamburger Bildungswesen unterm Hakenkreuz" was published by the Landeszentrale.
