Golden Langur & Melis Çom
Golden Langur is the new avant-garde jazz band of Gonçalo Mortágua (tenor saxophone), Sam Simons (piano and keyboards) and Minori Shimayama (drums). The trio's unusual line-up without bass opens up the group's creative possibilities and defines its original sound. The trio plays original compositions and draws inspiration from a variety of styles such as modern jazz, Latin, classical music and free improvisation.

Minori Simayama
Minori Shimayama is a Japanese drummer. Minori was born in May 1984 in Yokohama, Japan, the son of singer Yukino Someya and guitarist Nobukazu Shimayama. He has been exposed to various musical styles and instruments since birth. In his youth, he mainly devoted himself to singing and the guitar. Since the age of 17, he has been a professional session and live drummer. Over the years, he has shared the stage with musicians of various genres from all over the world and has toured Japan, the USA and Europe. His musical style encompasses jazz, rock, R&B, blues and Latin. He has also participated in experimental contemporary music.
Sam Simons
The young jazz pianist Sam Simons was born in Munich and can be found there in various line-ups. In addition to "Golden Langur", he also plays in the modern jazz band "Extra Teeth" and in the rock bands "Rosa Blut" and "Vandalisbin". His compositions therefore also blend the sounds of jazz with rock and pop music.
Gonçalo Mortágua
Born in Lisbon, the saxophonist studied jazz saxophone at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa and the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden. He moved to Berlin in 2015 and has since been an active member of the jazz, Latin and Afro scene in Berlin, as well as working as a freelance artist in a variety of genres. He currently tours and performs extensively with the band Jembaa Groove, a highlife soul band from Berlin that has performed at Supersonic Jazz Festival, BBC6 Radio, South by Southwest Festival and many other festivals.
Melis Çom - Harp O'clock Concert
Melis Çom lives and works as a freelance harpist in Munich and has performed with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Jewish Chamber Orchestra Munich and the Verbier Festival Orchestra, among others.
In her latest project, the Harp O'clock Concert Series, she focuses on a different area of the harp repertoire each time, using classical and her own arrangements to illustrate the musical diversity of the harp and present the instrument in a different setting. There have already been duo performances with percussion, viola, electronics and also solo performances with smaller harp models.
