Spring 1945: A woman comes down the steps of a house and squints against the sun. A man walks past. He stares straight ahead. A child touches the cold shell of a tank and runs away. The soldier does not look after him. A couple dances across the square. The woman turns around and disappears back into the house.

On the 80th anniversary of Germany's liberation from National Socialism, the play "Good Morning - Scenes of Liberation" sheds light on the situation of various characters in the days and months following the arrival of the Allies. What does the end of the war mean for a Jewish person, a forced laborer, an NSDAP functionary? Liberation or occupation? A new beginning or collapse? How do people who were perpetrators and victims yesterday meet? Drama and video art make the feelings, thoughts, longings and fears of the characters tangible, reveal the underlying ideas and meanings of freedom and liberation in the spring of 1945 and build a bridge to the present day.
What ideas and meanings of freedom shape our society 80 years after the end of the war? Where do we stand today?

• "Good Morning Wolfenbüttel- Szenen einer Befreiung" is an open-air event. Please dress for the weather!
• What if it rains? We will play in light rain. In the event of sudden heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, etc., we will have to interrupt or cancel the performance for safety reasons. This does not entitle you to a refund of the ticket price.
• Because we perform in non-theater venues, unfortunately not all events are barrier-free! All other performance venues are gardens/lawns with the usual unevenness.
• We would like to give as many people as possible access to culture. The mini-ticket is aimed at people in financial difficulties. At the same time, of course, we have to finance this project, which is why we have the solidarity ticket. By purchasing a solidarity ticket, you enable us to offer the mini-ticket.
