SABOTAGE shows literal manipulation, omnipresent string-pulling. What is real? How much free will do we have in an age in which we have all the means to be the most enlightened generation in human history and instead take refuge in digital illusory worlds, let our actions be guided by algorithms, allow our world view to be influenced by 'fake news' and disguise our self-presentation with filters in order to fit better into this illusory world ourselves? SABOTAGE takes an indulgent, humorous and dramatic look at human nature. Dancers and human-sized puppets act together in an ingenious and absurd manual power system of strings and pulleys. An unprecedented kind of puppet theater in which reality and fiction blur into a single dance: poetic, aesthetic, brutal, profound, absurd, astonishing, funny. Human. A theater experience that doesn't fit into any box.
