Götz Widmann: 30 Jahre Joint Venture

When Götz Widmann and Kleinti Simon founded their joint venture one glittering night in the fall of 1993, nobody could have guessed that it would develop into one of the most influential German-language singer-songwriter projects ever. Today, 30 years later, songs like Hank, Eduard der Haschischhund and Holland are absolute classics. Unlike the generation of singer-songwriters before them, Joint Venture clearly preferred to raise their middle finger rather than their index finger, breathing fresh air into a genre that was getting on in years. They made many friends with their cheerful lyrics, which did not shy away from any taboos, but also caused some horror, especially in the Christian-conservative camp. Götz Widmann, who has been touring solo since the completely unexpected death of Kleinti Simon in June 2000, is now inviting all joint venture fans to celebrate his birthday with a very special program. As always without a fixed setlist, but with lots of old songs and stories, spontaneous song requests are very welcome. Brilliant evenings with XXL encores are pre-programmed.
