The German-Danish rock-jazz band Gran Luxe is back with their third studio album, “Consequences”:
“Consequences” features twelve new songs that are rockier and more modern than those on the first two albums, showcasing what modern rock-jazz can sound like.

Gran Luxe—Christoph Schreyer (guitar and composition), Matthias Pramme (drums), Florian Wieners (keyboard), Jörg Lüdemann (bass), and Karin Sträter (flute)—have devoted themselves wholeheartedly to instrumental rock-jazz.

To this end, Gran Luxe has developed a musical language that combines the groovy and powerful rhythms of rock with the harmonies of jazz to create a unique sound, thereby breaking new musical ground.

Gran Luxe was founded in 2019 by the German-Danish guitarist and composer Christoph Schreyer. In the spring of 2022, Gran Luxe—still under the name Deep End—recorded their first studio album, “Von Lügen und Wahrheiten,” with Jürgen Spiegel. This was followed in 2024 by their second album, *Forms*, which consistently further developed their distinctive instrumental style. Flight Of The Elephant was formed in 2017 out of the long-standing musical collaboration between Michael Flossdorf (keys) and Babak Sameti (bass). What began as a shared creative starting point evolved into a trio with a distinctive style: music that centers on improvisation, openness, and spontaneous interaction.

Blending jazz, fusion, funk, and rock, the band creates a sound all its own—powerful, groove-driven, and atmospheric all at once. Pulsating rhythms meet modern soundscapes, and spontaneous ideas meet intense musical communication.

With Levin Dunkerbeck on drums, who has been part of the band since early 2026, Flight Of The Elephant gains even more depth, dynamism, and musical tension. The trio thrives on the moment: Every performance is a journey through urban energy, hypnotic grooves, and boundless improvisation—always surprising, always in dialogue, and rarely the same twice.
