New children's comics from Hamburg - workshop discussion

This format has become a tradition: three students from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW), which is regarded as the biggest talent factory for German comics, present their debut albums that have not yet been published and talk about their creation and the search for a publisher.

This time, Nora Borkenhagen will be there, whose children's comic "Bo und der erste Biss" (will be published by Kibitz) tells the story of the vampire child Bo, who wants to get rid of his biting instinct. Finja Frank's comic "Hunde - Sitten, Zähmen, Lieben" (to be published by Carlsen) is also aimed at a young audience: in a humorous way, it teaches children and young people interesting facts about dealing with dogs. The round-up is completed by Maj-Britt Eichstädt, whose comic "Raus aus der Schlangengrube!" is based on the decision-making principles of adventure games, which place the course of events in the hands of the gamer. The audience therefore determines the course of the story.
