Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau | Scenic installation on the seizure of power in 1933 | As part of the 12th Saxon Theatertreffen 2024

What was everyday life like at the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater or "Grenzlandtheater", as it was called at the time, during the period of National Socialist rule? How was the political situation reflected in the working lives of the artists? We have explored these questions in this scenic installation "Das Grenzlandtheater".

In the 360° film, we take you on a tour above, behind and below the stage.

THE SAXON THEATERTREFFEN
Every two years, theaters from Annaberg-Buchholz to Zittau, from Plauen to Radebeul come together for the Saxon Theatertreffen. After 10 years, Leipzig will once again be the venue in May 2024, with the TDJW and Schauspiel Leipzig as hosts.
In addition to eleven municipal, state and regional theaters, the program also includes productions from the independent theater scene.
