In the organizer's words:
Let yourself be carried away by Sol Gabetta's passionate interpretations! At the beginning, you will hear Mieczysław Weinberg's Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in C minor, which inspires with its emotional depth and creates a powerful, moving narrative. After the interval, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 3 in D major, also known as the "Polish", will be heard, which makes an excellent change from the first half of the concert with its lively character. Gewandhaus conductor Andris Nelsons will conduct the concert.
