GUACAYO has established itself as a newcomer band. With over 6 million streams and a monthly average of over 40,000 listeners on Spotify and more than 6,000 loyal followers on Instagram, they are reaching a steadily growing audience. Their YouTube videos achieve five- to six-figure click rates. In over 500 gigs across Europe, they have not only completed their own three tours, but have also wowed audiences at renowned festivals such as Fusion, Sziget and Summerjam. As a support act for international stars such as Lime Cordiale and Sean Koch, they have also proven their energetic stage presence.

In their hometown of Hamburg, be it on the Reeperbahn, in the Gruenspan or even in the majestic Elbphilharmonie, GUACAYO leave a lasting impression. After their two EPs "YUNIVERSE" (2019) and "LEMONADE" (2021), they released their long-awaited debut album "INDIGO SKY" in October 2024.

The debut album plays with contrasts, where light melodies and cheerful beats merge with lyrics and vocals that testify to vulnerability and depth. "INDIGO SKY" takes the listener on an emotional journey through an arduous process of change. Songs such as "Out in the Cold" and "Imik Simik" address the challenges of our time - from the emotional coldness of people to war and environmental pollution. The tracks "Wind Down", "Drama" and "I Don't Need You" focus on the exhaustion caused by toxic relationships, social media, the suppression of one's own truth and the constant need to function. In "How Long", GUACAYO asks how long we want to go on like this and where we get the strength to change things. "INDIGO SKY" captures the spirit of the times.

GUACAYO have been writing and producing their own music for over seven years now. Sophie, the heart of the group, expresses her world-weariness, anger and longing for a more open world in her lyrics. Her desire for emotions to be taken seriously is reflected in every note - "so that we can finally develop socially and understand ourselves, and then each other!" She is a globetrotter, speaks fluent Spanish, English and French and is committed to connecting different cultures.
