Hafenkino Open Air: Die Herrlichkeit des Lebens

1923: Dora Diamant and Franz Kafka meet by chance on the Baltic Sea beach. He is a man of the world, she is from the deep East, he can write, she can dance. She has both feet firmly on the ground, he is always hovering a little above it. She embraces the indicative, he gets tangled up in the subjunctive. But when the two get to know each other, all differences become irrelevant. They are granted a single year until Franz Kafka dies far too early. Even though Kafka's health deteriorates more and more, their year together allows them to feel the glory of life.
