Maryam, an Iranian human rights activist, is granted a seven-day medical furlough from the notorious Evin prison. She is delighted to see her mother and brother again. But they present her with the most difficult decision of her life: they have secretly organized her escape across the Turkish-Iranian border mountains with Maryam's husband Behnam, who lives in Germany... The drama is a moving portrayal of the difficult hardships that people have to endure in the fight against oppression. Maryam's story is a testimony to the unwavering will of those who fight for a better future, even if it is at the cost of their own freedom.
