Hagios Friedenskonzert - WORkSHOP

In the organizer's words:

The HAGIOS peace concert is a sing-along project by and with Helge Burggrabe that ranges from contemplative silence to powerful, polyphonic singing. All you need is your own voice and the anticipation of the experience of transforming the church into a large sound space together with many other people.

The workshop before the concert at 19:00 offers the opportunity to get to know the HAGIOS songs in depth together with Helge Burggrage and to experience your own voice as a way of expressing your soul and faith.

Singing can lead us into a space that we humans perceive as sacred and healing. We then enter the space of our deepest affiliation with all living things, with creation, and experience ourselves as an instrument. Before every sound, however, there is silence, and so periods of silence are a further element of this seminar before we immerse ourselves again in the fullness of the sounds.

We will sing easy-to-learn spiritual canons and songs by Helge Burggrabe from the new HAGIOS song cycle, which continues the singing tradition of monasteries and communities such as Taizé. The seminar offers new impulses for musical forms of prayer in everyday life. No musical prerequisites are necessary, everyone is welcome.
