Hamburg is Germany's poetry slam capital. The biggest venues, the best events and the most talented poets regularly come together here.

The Hamburg City Poetry Slam Championships take place once a year. Over two semi-finals, starters from all of Hamburg's poetry slams meet in the Central Committee. You decide who secures a ticket for the grand final at the Fabrik. It's not just about one of the most prestigious titles in the scene, but also about the honor of representing our Hanseatic city at the German-speaking championships.

Whether poetry or prose, political or slapstick, everything is allowed on this stage and in the end a seven-member jury from the audience will decide who leaves the stage as the winner and can call themselves the best slam poet in the city for a year.
