HandwerksFrühling – Gemeinsam vorwärts

In the organizer's words:

On May 10, 2026 , the festival grounds of the Munich Spring Festival on the Theresienwiese will be transformed into a lively place of new beginnings and community. The HandwerksFrühling is more than just an event. It is a powerful commitment to an occupation that keeps our country going every day - with hands that work, with minds that think, with hearts that burn.

Moving forward together - that's not just a motto, it's an attitude.

Groups of Schäfflers and craftsmen parade across the festival grounds in splendid guild dress, bringing an age-old ritual to life: the legendary Schäffler dance. For centuries, it has stood for new beginnings and confidence - and only takes place every seven years. What once created a positive mood after the plague still has a very special effect today: a colorful sign that things will always go on.

Spectators are cordially invited to watch the parade on the Spring Festival grounds and experience this special moment up close.

This will be followed by an invited reception hosted by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and the Bavarian Crafts Association in the Bayernland festival tent. The Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, and the Vice President of the Bavarian Craftsmen's Day, Erich Schulz, will jointly send out a strong signal for Bavaria as a business and social location - and say a heartfelt thank you! To all the craftsmen and women who ensure that our lives function, become more beautiful and hold us together on a daily basis.
