Gold Cup from Manchester make "stupid rock music for geniuses" - raw, loud lo-fi fuzz punk with maximum energy and a clear DIY attitude. No high gloss, no frills: distorted guitars, broken riffs and songs that are created exactly where they belong - somewhere between rehearsal room, chaos and gut feeling.

Following their debut EP Illegal Muzik, Gold Cup have further sharpened their sound with Beyond A Joke and made it even more uncompromising live. The original trio has now become a quartet, belting out wild, unfiltered songs about feelings, excessive demands and everyday confusion - recorded in an old police building in Leeds.

Gold Cup stand for DIY in the best sense of the word: loud, direct and straightforward. A new, exciting voice from Manchester that hits the ear and the heart with quirky fuzz riffs and honest energy.

The Maizze

The four-piece band THE MAIZZE from the Ruhr area combines coal-fired grunge-o-delic punk with hip-swinging garage melodies that are too aggressive and soulful to be dismissed as just another 60s retro rock yawnfest. Their first full album 'Prepaid Card of Death' was released in 2022 on Sweepland Records. It offers a raw mix of noisy headbanger tunes and fuzzy melodies that will leave your ears ringing!
