John Williams' music live to the original film on the big screen

While the audience follows on a big screen how Harry masters his first adventurous school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, how he runs through eerie corridors and over moving staircases or competes in Quidditch tournaments on a wizard's broom, the live sounds of the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen provide strong emotions: To accompany the original film, the complete score of John Williams' legendary film music is brought to life in all its drama. The striking "Hedwig's Theme" can also be heard here for the first time, the mysterious motif that became the characteristic main melody in the subsequent films and reliably evokes goose bumps.

The movie with a large live orchestra

"You're a wizard, Harry". It is the orphan's eleventh birthday when the giant Hagrid utters the sentence that will turn Harry Potter's life upside down. For the delicate boy with the round nickel glasses and the lightning-shaped scar on his forehead is not just any wizard: he alone is said to have the ability to break the power of the dark wizard Voldemort.

The highly successful novels not only captivated an entire generation worldwide, but also made millions of hearts beat faster in the cinema as an eight-part Hollywood blockbuster. From February 2025, the first part of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" will go on a major arena tour through Germany and Switzerland - with the complete film on a big screen and John Williams' music played live by a large orchestra!
