HB unplugged: The stage for newcomer artists and bands from Bremen 🌟

The second edition features two young Bremen bands: "Auf Sendung" and "Paloma & The Matches".

Auf Sendung: A young band from Bremen that has set itself the task of combining elements from different genres to create its very own style. Driving grooves, catchy melodies and free improvisations develop from simple ideas. With acoustic instruments, soulful vocals and electronic synthesizer sounds, the musicians try to make emotions between fragility, anger, happiness and deep melancholy audible.

In the last two years, "Auf Sendung" has already performed on several stages in Bremen, including the Breminale, the SummerSounds Festival and Open Space. For the concert in the Sendesaal, the five young musicians have now reworked their repertoire from the ground up: specially arranged for the acoustics of the room, reduced, atmospheric and, for the first time, predominantly acoustic.

Paloma & The Matches: If a 90s coming-of-age movie were to merge with a romantic black-and-white classic, the soundtrack would surely come from Paloma & The Matches. With their new EP "Crush", the Bremen band returns and delivers a nostalgic mix of funky basslines, melancholy guitars and surfy-psychedelic vibes. Between Amy Winehouse soul and Nancy Sinatra coolness, the songs tell of longing, heartbreak, self-reflection and mental highs and lows - the "crush" is the ambiguous common thread that draws the listener through the band's emotional world, but also through current social patterns.

Whether on the dance floor or turned up loud on the record player: Paloma & The Matches bring the musical aesthetics of the 1960s into the present with a fresh twist.
