When Ann sees her for the first time, Sara is standing on the stage of the Heartship bar - as she does on the last Thursday of every month - and declares war on the patriarchy with her furious stand-up act. From that moment on, the rational ophthalmologist and single mother is fascinated by Sara's fearless nature. A connection develops between the two that goes beyond the conventions of romantic relationships or platonic friendships - a heartship.

In her new play, award-winning author Caren Jeß paints a tender, angry, funny and at the same time deeply touching portrait of two people who find each other in a world full of pressure, sexism and expectations. Director Fabiola Kuonen transforms the Marstall Salon into the "Heartship" bar and invites you to a feminist celebration of freedom and love in all its forms.
