René Jacobs and the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra - this is an artistic love affair that has led to enormously captivating, theatrically memorable and musically superb productions in recent years, especially in the field of concert opera. Jacobs selects the very best, ideally matched singers and works meticulously with them and the orchestra on all the details. Nevertheless, the narrative momentum of the performances is palpable at all times. Among Antonio Vivaldi's more than 100 operas, "Giustino" from 1724 is considered one of the most fascinating thanks to its magnificent arias and colorful orchestration. This concert performance with sparse scenic elements turns the Konzerthaus Stadthalle into an opera house for one evening!
