About photography, graffiti, the Chinese diaspora and black art: for some years now, the Cité des Arts has been awakening to new greatness, and guest editor Heinz-Norbert Jocks examines in essays and conversations with Hans Ulrich Obrist, Catherine Millet and Alexia Fabre, among others, the importance of the École des Beaux-Arts and the studios of young artists* for the art scene of the metropolis on the Seine today, in addition to the expansion of the art market.

Heinz-Norbert Jocks is a German journalist, author, art critic and exhibition organizer. After studying German language and literature, philosophy and history in Düsseldorf, he has been a permanent contributor and correspondent for Kunstforum International in Germany and abroad since 1979 and has also edited several volumes. Heinz-Norbert Jocks lives in Düsseldorf and works in Paris and Beijing.
