And for the last game in the Stadium of Dreams (in the FatCat), outstanding players will line up once again: On July 12, we celebrate what we love soccer for in the Heartbeat Final, the long night of soccer drama in three parts, and let's make the wave for the values we share. Soccer is a great narrative in which every voice counts. This evening aims to make them and the unheard audible.
It once again presents works by Hans Steinbichler that premiered as part of the stadium program: a short film with Clemens Schick, who was celebrated for his compelling portrayal of Pier Paolo Pasolini, as well as plays by Friedrich Ani and Natalia Blok. In addition, "To a winner in the game of soccer" by playwright Gian Maria Cervos, who takes Pasolini's "Report on God" - a short story about soccer written in the form of a letter to a fellow writer - as a starting point to parody it and thus address the hidden homosexuality in soccer, will also be staged.
The production by Italian director Riccardo Festa stars Guglielmo Poggi, protagonist of numerous successful Italian film comedies and member of the rock band Eretica.
