HfK Jazzclub: Duo del Mar

In the organizer's words:

Juana and Felipe are a dynamic duo who met at the University of the Arts Bremen. Originally from Chile and Spain, the duo combines their common language and cultural connections in their music. Their repertoire ranges from famous jazz standards influenced by Latin American rhythms to Latin folklore and pop. In their performances, they explore the harmonic fusion of voice and bass while also integrating piano and guitar. This interplay opens up new worlds of sound and presents a unique musical experience for everyone.

The "hfk jazzclub" is the venue for contemporary jazz in Bremen. Concerts and sessions with musicians from the university and local and national musicians take place every Tuesday of the semester at 9 pm in the basement vault of the University of Music. Passionate jamming takes place here, or student tryout programs are presented. Semester projects by the Rehearsal Band and themed concert programs are also offered. In short: a think tank for jazz and a meeting place for Bremen's jazz scene.
