As a pianist, composer and arranger, Peter Fulda is forging his own path in contemporary creative music. At home in the artistic free land of European jazz, his curiosity for a wide variety of other music keeps him in constant motion. Each of his now 30 music programs (including 3 complete programs for big band) creates its own sound world with intense colors and moods. Fulda explores the worlds of ethereal spirits and imaginary cultures, restores works by Henry Purcell in his very own way or conjures up the world of Franz Kafka's thoughts in a melodrama trip.

At this concert, Peter Fulda introduces himself as a guest professor in the MA Big Band program at the University of Music and Performing Arts. The HfMDK Big Band will play original big band compositions by Peter Fulda as well as works that he originally wrote for programs with smaller ensembles and which have now been arranged for jazz orchestra by MA Big Band students.
