IT'S ART, BABY! gallery proudly presents "Hip Hop Hues: A Visual And Sonic Journey," a captivating art exhibition celebrating the connection between art and music in hip hop culture. This unique event invites art lovers and music enthusiasts to experience the creative fusion of urban street art and hip hop music.
Date and Time:
The "From Walls to Beats" exhibition runs from Oct. 27 to Nov. 5 and is open from 1 to 8 p.m. daily. On November 2, the special event "Hip Hop Histories" will take place from 6 to 10 pm.
Venue:
IT'S ART, BABY!
Nordstrasse 25
40477 Düsseldorf
The exhibition features the works of two outstanding artists:
Fomeniko: Painter Maxim Fomeko from Nuremberg adds a unique dimension to his art by cleverly integrating elements of hip hop culture. His works are much more than a mere homage to legendary rap and hip-hop icons like 2Pac. Maxim's virtuoso use of color gives his works an extraordinary dynamism. Maxim Fomeko's artwork is a powerful interplay of visual art and music that uniquely captures the essence of hip hop.
White Nuance: Sanaz, a designer and artist from Düsseldorf, specifically uses Plexiglas as the main material in her works. Her black and white depictions evoke associations with images of saints or deities and impressively reflect the ambivalence in society's perception of celebrities, who are often virtually idolized. Sanaz's artworks powerfully capture the tension and ambiguity of this worship, creating intriguing artworks that blur the intersection between art and music in a highly engaging way.
On November 2, the "Hip Hop Histories" event will feature a musical backdrop. DJ Andreh Martinian, a respected German hip hop DJ, will present an exciting musical journey through the evolution of hip hop.
The exhibition "Hip Hop Hues: A Visual And Sonic Journey" is more than just art. It is a window into the aesthetic, political and social contexts of hip hop culture. This event powerfully demonstrates that the art of hip hop makes an impact not only on the streets, but also in galleries.
Organizer and curator Radhika Mohan of IT'S ART, BABY! cordially invites you to participate in this unique cultural experience.
Admission: Admission to the exhibition and event is free of charge.
