Since 2012, the 1st Bremen Ukulele Orchestra1BUO has been performing on stages, streets and squares in and around Bremen with songs from various centuries, continents, styles, tones and time signatures, mostly with polyphonic vocals. Only the instrumentation is rather one-sided: all ukuleles :-), apart from the bass (the giant ukulele) and occasionally an additional instrument. The result is a wild mixture of sea music, pop, country, folk and rock songs. Definitely a great atmosphere with small instruments, for singing, snapping and dancing along. Free admission to the New Year's Concert 2026, a donation is requested. We strongly recommend booking free tickets in advance via the Shakespeare Company booking system.
