The tour provides interesting information about the years when the monastery was founded on the Citadelle, the eventful history of the church and monastery building and the consequences of secularization. The tour goes through the archways of the former lyceum, which Heinrich Heine walked through a good 200 years ago, and shows the result of the conversion to today's Catholic Town Hall - a successful and award-winning combination of historical building fabric and modern architecture.
