13 million people from countless countries performed forced labor in Germany during the Second World War. The largest groups in Munich came from the Soviet Union, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands and France. There were around 550 camps and collective accommodation facilities in Munich, spread across the entire city. In Neuaubing, eight barracks of a forced labor camp are still preserved today and bear witness to the mass exploitation. Tour guides from the Nazi Documentation Center lead tours of the site and tell the story of forced labor in Munich at the authentic location.
In cooperation with the NS Documentation Center.
