Led by songwriters Marie & Mathieu, the HOBOKEN DIVISION has been laying the foundations for a combination of garage, krautrock and delta blues since 2011. Their constantly evolving mix combines the mysticism of Mississippi music with the hypnosis of Suicide. Influenced by RL Burnside and the Velvet Underground as well as acts such as The Kills and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the band has developed its own characteristic sound, which on the current album PSYCHOLOVE < Les Disques de la Face Cachée > an intense, light-flooded album full of psychic moments that - wrapped in fuzz - open up a whole new world in their music.
Since 2015, the Bordeaux-based band has been touring Europe with the same passion and enthusiasm for the underground music scene. Their powerful shows showcase their commitment to authenticity and dedication to their music and lyrics.
