Holger Werner & Friends are dedicated to the music of the swing era in a classic sextet line-up with saxophone/clarinet, trumpet, piano, guitar, double bass and drums. The repertoire ranges from well-known composers such as George Gershwin to lesser-known but style-defining authors such as Teddy McRae and Juan Tizol.

Sophisticated arrangements characterize the unmistakable band sound, but always leave plenty of room for solo contributions, which make every performance a unique and thrilling experience. Driven by the irresistible drive of the rhythm section, the virtuoso melody lines of the well-rehearsed front winds gain an almost playful lightness - both at fast tempos and in quiet, lyrical moments.

Above all, however, it is the great joy of playing of these 6 musicians that fascinates and lingers on for a long time.
