For ten to 13-year-olds

A special technique is the art of carving lacquer: this involves carving into the lacquer, which has previously been applied in many layers. Participants also practise carving fine patterns and motifs. For small sculptures, indentations are cut into pieces of soap for reliefs in multi-layered blocks of wax. Surprising color effects included!
