Hollow Coves
Nothing to Lose Tour
Support: Garrett Kato
With their open nature and the encouraging message of their music, Hollow Coves manage to cast a spell over their fans. The Australian band has quickly become the indie-folk voice of connection and beauty. Their tracks manage to create a relaxed yet exciting atmosphere that is second to none.
Matt Carins and Ryan Henderson, who live on Australia's Gold Coast and have developed their own perspective on paradise, are equal parts songwriters and singers, alternating roles to best serve their songs. The two musicians recorded some of their most successful songs in their mutual friend's garage. After their first successes, the two quickly realized that they wanted to devote themselves entirely to music from then on and gave up their jobs. It turned out to be a complete success, as they now have almost half a billion streams worldwide and almost a million followers on their platforms! In 2018, they released their debut album "Moments", an acoustic journey through their world. As a classically trained pianist, Ryan's keen sense of detail complements Matt's laid-back surfer approach. The wonderful yin & yang pairing of their personalities allows them to transform complex thoughts into poetry and evoke a palpable sense of weightlessness.
During the pandemic, the band retreated to a house on the Gold Coast of Australia to build the foundation of their EP "Blessings". The EP is about life lessons and hope in bad times. Listeners looking for guidance and lightness found hope and confidence in the EP. The vulnerable stories and messages of gratitude were rewarded by fans with countless streams. The band is fueled by the energy of their audience, a down-to-earth seaside lifestyle and a sound that authentically reflects their mindset as they move forward.
The duo is currently working on new music with Australian singer-songwriter Matt Corby, among others. The two songs "Harder To Fake It" and "Letting Go" were recently released and set a hopeful mood for what is yet to come musically. In spring 2024, Hollow Coves will embark on a major "Nothing to Lose Tour" and will also play six concerts in Germany as part of the tour.
