Hörspielpremiere: Reingehört in die Miniserie DSCHINNS. Nach dem Roman von Fatma Aydemir

In the organizer's words:

"Djinn are neither good nor evil ...they simply are. Like humans, not gods. But people are afraid of them. And they probably all have their djinn."

In the world of Islamic thought, a djinn is a kind of shadow or spirit that everyone has with them. In Fatma Aydemir's novel from 2022, it stands for the unspoken, repressed truths in the Yilmaz migrant family. In the overture, we meet Hüseyin, who has toiled for 30 years as a guest worker for Germany, the country of the economic miracle, and now, at the end of the 1990s, wants to return home: Hüseyin has bought a condominium in Istanbul and hopes that his wife Emine and their adult children will follow . But then he dies of a heart attack on the first day in his apartment. In the following chapters, it is up to his family to grieve and fill the gaps with stories.

Together with production dramaturge Michael Becker, we will listen to excerpts from the miniseries in the GESELLSCHAFTSRAUM ,which theater director and curator Florian Fischer has newly arranged and staged based on the theater version by Selen Kara .
