Everyone knows Fendrich, Ambros and Falco - but nobody knows Hovacek. Why is that? He is the great unknown of Austropop: Viennese song poetry with bitter humor and biting wit. The songs sing about the establishment, indifference, breaks and everyday abysses - raw, direct, heartbreaking. Lissi & Herr Timpe ("Lady Sunshine & Mister Moon"), the Viennese artist Richard Schmetterer and guitarist Matthias Heller (Turbobier) bring the Hovacek songs to the stage, taking turns in singing and picking up all kinds of instruments. Together they bring to life the lost greatness of Austropop. A tongue-in-cheek, melancholy and very Austrian discovery.
