How to build a chatbot from scratch: Why is language so f*** hard?
In the organizer's words:
How do artificial language models really work? How do they develop something like a character? And how can we convey certain values to a bot - or our own chatbot? What's happening technically and how can we control it?
In the workshop series "How to build a bot from scratch", visitors will develop a chatbot for Frankfurt together with computer linguist Aurelie Herbelot. This very, very small chatbot does not consume an incredible amount of natural resources, protects data and reveals how artificial intelligence really works.
This workshop is particularly about language: why is language so complex and how does a language model learn to speak? What manual work is actually required to teach machines to speak and who is involved? The workshop will focus on the automatic generation of dialogs and the use of open data.
Over the course of many events, our chatbot will learn to speak and become an expert in local knowledge about the digital community and the critical use of technology.
Join in and help us develop the world's smallest chatbot for Frankfurt!
