Hypochondriacal fears play a kind of broken pop music with a system. The protagonists play alongside each other, while associative cascades of words recreate the simultaneities of a hectic present. Always equally close to falling over and close to balancing. They are out of time to the extreme and stay out, groove past each other in the most virtuosic way and operate a gearwheel with united strength, whose teeth do not want to lock. The project is an attempt to bring lyrics and music together without making songs. For lack of a more suitable word, we call the non-songs "songs" - in quotation marks! In any case, some of the products of Die Ängste belong in quotation marks: among the "songs", for example, there is a "canon", a "rap", a "rockabilly" and even a "carnival". In terms of lyrics, Die Ängste sometimes take us to a godsend wonderland called "Deutschlantis", sometimes to bubbleteashops, sometimes to the dark depths of subway stations or the lofty heights of RyansHair in the ReineAir.
