Junis and Alia were born in Germany. Their father comes from Turkey and their mother from Syria. They have lived in a small town near Stuttgart since they were children.Junis and Alia have a very close sibling relationship. They tell each other almost everything and enjoy spending their free time together.
Junis and Alia have a great standing in their classes. Alia likes to dance at parties, loves Instagram and wants to become a photographer. Junis likes to play soccer and loves writing rap lyrics. Since the two of them hit puberty, the tone from their parents has changed dramatically.Alia and Junis are expected to adapt to the cultural and religious values of their parents' countries of origin. This leads to increasing tensions.

The interactive play "I give you my word of honor" deals with the topics of honor, forced marriage and familial and social ideas of love and life. It informs those potentially affected about offers of help and invites a controversial examination of cultural and traditional family images.
